PERFECT MATCHPLAY

About Perfect Match

Perfect Match is a small free puzzle game you play in the browser. Each run gives you 10 shapes and 3 minutes. You slide, turn and resize every shape onto a dashed outline and decide, shape by shape, whether to bank the points you have or spend seconds chasing a perfect fit.

Why it exists

Most "match the shape" games stop at close enough. We wanted the opposite: a game where the final one percent of alignment is the whole point, with a match number that is mathematically exact and a meter that keeps moving in the 99.9s. The 3-minute clock turns that precision into a decision. Bank a stubborn blob at 99.5 and move on, or hold your breath for the snap and the three-second refund.

How it is built

There is no app to install and no account. The game is a few kilobytes of JavaScript that draws smooth vector shapes on a canvas inside a pixel-art frame. The match is the exact intersection-over-union of two polygons, computed on every frame. Runs are stored anonymously so that leaderboards and challenge links work, and everything runs on Cloudflare's edge network, so the game loads quickly anywhere.

Fair play

Every run is generated from its id, so a daily run or a shared challenge is the same ten shapes for everyone. Scores are checked on the server against the run's clock, and a player appears once per leaderboard with their best run.
