Daily runs and streaks, explained
October 5, 2026
The home page always plays today's daily run: the same 10 shapes for every player in the world until midnight UTC, when a new one appears.
Same shapes for everyone
A run's shapes follow from its id, and the daily run's id is the date. That is why a friend in another time zone sees exactly the shapes you saw, and why a daily leaderboard is a fair fight: everyone had the same blobs to wrestle with.
The board
Each player appears once on the day's board, with their best run. Ties on score go to the player who used less play time, so a retry that lands the same score faster still moves you up. The board lives at the daily page along with an archive of past days, each with its own board and a link to play that run.
Streaks
Finish the daily run on consecutive UTC days and the result card counts your streak. A day counts once you finish the run, whatever the score; a 300 keeps the streak as well as a 900. Miss a day and the next finish starts again at one. The streak is stored in your browser, so it belongs to that device.
Sharing a daily
The share text for a daily carries the day's number and your emoji strip, Wordle-style, and the link opens the same run for whoever taps it with your score as the target. Play today's run.
